To Joey's Family Especially his MOM.
I know the pain you are experencing.
I have been there and yes is still there. We lost our son in a car accident in Feb. 20 , 1998.
He was 25 years old a Nurse in QEII Hospital Halifax Nova Scotia.
It has been 8 years and the pain is still there and will always be. Those of us who have lost a child regardless of age are really the only ones who understand the pain and emptiness we feel.
Paul Was also a poet. we have build a web site with some of his poems and more to be added as years go by. http://www.pauljlaymanmemorial.com/
I will think of you often Joey's MOM and i will remember you in my prayers. GOD BLESS
You have did well by Joeys Virtual memory . Now all can see your handsome angel and feel your pain.

I was just browsing on the computer and came across the tribute page and just wanted to send sorrow for the pain that you have to go through each and everyday of your life. We never know the trials and tribulations of life that it is gonna through at us.I have a son of my own and could not imagine life without him.Just realize that your Joey will always be in your life and will always be down protecting you and your family. Yall will meet again someday to that bright beautiful place we will all one day call home.

Hi, only another mother that has also lost her son could know the heart ache that will never go away. By reading your son's Joey story my heart goes out to you even though we do not know each other, but we share the same pain. My son also died last year on Feb 3rd 2004 at the age of 30. His name was Gino. He died with an illness that is called ARDS (acute respiratory distress syndrome). I had never heard of this illness before my son died with it. He was the healthiest young man untill one day he was diagnosed with psoriasis. The doctor said to him, sorry Gino psoriasis is something that has to treated for life but the good news is that you do not die from it. Three months later Gino was on a ventilator fighting for his life. Gino developed complications. Medications for his Psoriatic Arthritic lowered his immune system that he also got the hospital bug MRSA. One thing I could tell you I still cannot believe he is gone. It is too painfull to think about. My heart goes out to you and your family for loosing your beautiful son Joey, and you know they are always around us, for they are our guardian angels. Much Love, Tina

Dear Joey, I came by to visit the new site your Mom has made for you and I know you agree with me that is is a wonderful way for her to show the world your handsome smile that it is missing. I wish I could have known you and yet because I know your mom, I feel that I do. She honors your memory with her beautiful poems and the love she shows towards those of us who have suffered her same loss. I look forward to the day we can meet, when you and Jamie welcome me to the light.

I love your new web site that your mom created for you. IT IS WONDERFUL!!! Just as you are. So many of the photos remind me of Luke. I'm sure the two of you have so much in common and are best of friends on the other side. I love your mom.... she has become a wonderful friend and support for me.... Your Dad is a great guy too. But I'm sure you know that. I wish that you and Luke did not have to die... We know that you boys are happy, but it is so difficult being left behind. Please give Luke a hug for me. Take care my friend. We will see you boys soon.
